“Just ’cause you keep calling marriage a ‘right’ doesn’t make it so. If marriage is a ‘right’, then baptism must be a ‘right’, right?”

    Actually… baptism kind of is a right, what with the whole freedom-of-religion thing. Anybody who wants to get baptized and can find someone to baptize them can. Similarly, anyone who wants to get married and can find someone to marry them, should be able to.

    Exactly! I enjoyed this one in part because it was such fun to imagine the exploding Christianist craniums that would result if the government tried to impose limits on whom churches could baptize.
